Truecare Haven Support‘s support staff provide specialist healthcare to clients
with learning disabilities, as well as standard domiciliary care and services.
Our support staff aim is to assist in improving the well-being and social inclusion of people with learning disabilities. This is achieved by:
- Accessing the community
- Support in maintaining their independence
- reducing barriers
- helping to improve or maintain their physical and mental health
- supporting the person to pursue a fulfilling life that meets their legitimate aspirations
Working with people who have a learning disability is likely to be demanding and stressful at times, and progress can be slow, but satisfaction is great when a service user has learned a new skill or can demonstrate new confidence in themselves with our assistance.
At Truecare Haven Support, empathy and sensitive human interaction is the core skill. Our recruitment process ensures that our support staff are well-trained and can demonstrate patience and highly developed, flexible communication skills.
